Winter Blitz: Camellias

Hello Power Poppy fans!  Welcome to Day 2 of our fabulous all digital December release!
Today we’re revealing the delicate “Camellia”!

Marcella has illustrated this stunning bloom and here’s what she’s said about this beauty..
"Jewels of the winter greenhouse, stars of Southern gardens, and the state flower of Alabama, Camellias are a symbol of passion, desire and refinement. I was inspired by the Camellias from the gorgeous collection at the Linnean House at the Missouri Botanical Garden."

For my card creation today, I wanted to keep it super simple and a single layer card!

I was inspired by a “candy cane” looking version of the bloom today…

Now, check out the beautiful digital stamp creations of the rest of my fellow Bloom Brigaders:

Awww, Ally....I love your variegated blooms! Your coloring is gorgeous (as always) and the line edge detail really adds such a nice touch to your already beautiful one layer card.....how on earth did you get that much detail in a single layer?! Girl, you never cease to amaze!

Ally, I came by last night but my internet went out right when I posted my comment. Of course, I was gushing and sputtering all over the place because this is just so breathtakingly beautiful. The camillias are so perfectly set off by by your warm background and the simple line frame. Love that pink peppermint/candy cane coloring. Think I've got Christmas on the brain? Maybe it's just my sweet tooth. I was just telling Christine that her camillias made me think of divinity.
